Safe Zones

As of 04 April 2022, the restrictions which were implemented on unvaccinated persons are being removed in respect of all safe zones (being restaurants, bars, common gaming houses, betting pools or offices (under the Gambling and Betting Act), cinemas, theatres (under the Cinematograph Act and Theatres and Dancehalls Act), private members’ clubs (under the Registration of Clubs Act), gyms, fitness studios, waterparks, public swimming pools, co-operative societies, credit unions, friendly societies, lodges, community centres, banquet halls, auditoriums, similar meeting places and sporting events).

You will no longer need to show proof of vaccination or Medical Exemption Certificates or Medical Deferral Certificates with a negative test result prior to entry, whether you are a customer or an employee.

The previous mask laws have been limited and you are no longer required to wear masks in public places. Remember, however, premises such as private businesses or government buildings may require you to wear a face mask, face shield, or face covering whilst inside. An example of this would be the Judiciary and you can read about the specific requirements here.

Should you have any questions about the old safe zones law, send us an email at info@communitylawtt.org or contact us through our social media pages and we'd be happy to assist.
